Blastocyst Stage Culture

CMR Torino RBlastocyst Stage Culture

The Assisted Reproductive Technology laboratory at the CMR Center has been using blastocyst stage culture since 1998.
This extended process allows embryos to develop until the 5th-6th day, increasing the chances of intrauterine transfer.

Success and Results

The blastocyst stage is achievable in 90% of cases when there are at least 3 good-quality embryos after 48-72 hours post-fertilization.
The results in terms of ongoing pregnancy exceed 50%.

Advanced Technology

Our laboratory is equipped with the latest generation GERI incubator, which includes integrated Time-Lapse functionality.
Thanks to a high-resolution camera in each of the six incubation chambers, we can monitor embryonic development without disturbing the embryos themselves.

Optimal Conditions

Each chamber is designed to contain embryos from a single patient, eliminating the need to open chambers containing embryos from other patients.
This allows for detailed control of developmental conditions and ensures a consistent and optimal culture environment.

Impact on Embryo Health

Cutting-edge technology minimizes stress for embryos, ensuring ideal conditions for their growth and maximizing pregnancy outcomes.
At CMR, the GERI incubator is used in 100% of the treatments performed.
We were the first in Piedmont and Turin to employ Time-Lapse technology, a fundamental element for the survival of embryos in culture outside the uterus.
